Organization Name: Southeast Alaska Association for the Education of Young Children

Headquarters: Juneau, Alaska

About: Southeast Alaska Association for the Education of Young Children (SEAAEYC) promotes high-quality learning for all children, birth through age 8, by supporting all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children. The organization is promoting the 2020 Census at events in January and February and is providing Internet access for online response at their annual conference in March. SEAAEYC is an affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, a national census partner.

In October, SEAAEYC’s Community Engagement Coordinator Nikki Love joined Census Partnership Specialist Barb Miranda on the Juneau Afternoon radio show on KTOO Public Radio to highlight the importance of counting everyone in the 2020 Census, including children.

“We need to do all we can to make sure parents know that everyone in their household, including babies, need to be counted in the 2020 Census.”

– Nikki Love, SEAAEYC Community Engagement Coordinator
