PSA Toolkit

The Census Bureau provides resources to help ensure partners and stakeholders have the tools they need to effectively engage their communities.

SHARE:

Public Service Announcements (PSAs) are an effective way to educate the public about the importance of the 2020 Census and why participation matters. This toolkit enables partners and stakeholders to access produced PSAs or create their own using pre-approved messages and talking points.

To get started with the PSA Toolkit, follow these 4 steps:

  1. Download and read the PSA Guidelines.
  2. Identify the PSA you are interested in using.
  3. Review the available languages and audiences for the PSA you are interested in.
  4. Ensure you are referring to the appropriate usage guidelines that align with the PSA you would like to use, prior to using your PSA.

Guidelines

Be sure to review the guidelines associated with the PSA you are interested in, available alongside each produced PSA below.  Use of some of these PSAs are restricted to an expiration date and cannot be used after November 4, 2020. If you have placed a PSA somewhere online, it must be removed by that date. Radio PSAs are immediately available for download. For Video PSAs please reach out to 2020CensusPSAs@census.gov with your organization name and contact information to receive an editable version of the PSA.

For questions unrelated to PSAs, please visit our help page or contact us. To respond to the Census, please visit my2020census.gov.
