Census Bureau Expands Quarterly Services Report

MARCH 14 — The U.S. Census Bureau today released new Quarterly Services Survey (QSS) estimates that include the addition of 40 seasonally adjusted series to the Quarterly Services Report. Seasonal adjustment is important because it addresses seasonal patterns that can otherwise mask underlying economic conditions.
Beginning with the fourth quarter 2022 release, seasonally adjusted expenses will be available for selected North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) industries within:
- NAICS 62: Health Care and Social Assistance.
- NAICS 71: Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation.
- NAICS 81: Other Services (except Public Administration).
